Michael Anderson – Managing Director
Michael Anderson is a graduate of Heriot Watt University. He initially studied Architectural Engineering before returning to undertake a Post Graduate Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
Commencing his career with Gerco in 2007 Michael swiftly moved up the ranks before leaving the company in 2011 to further his career as a Project Manager for a national contractor undertaking Internal Fit-Out Frameworks. With the urge to progress further Michael founded his contracting company before returning to Gerco-Fas in 2015 as Commercial Director. In the summer of 2016, Michael purchased Gerco-Fas from its original owner and founder Douglas Sampson whom he remains close to as a friend and confidante.
Michael Robinson – Operations Director
Mick has been in the Fire Protection Industry over 32 years and is responsible for all operations in the UK & Europe. His knowledge of Passive Fire Protection and in particular Air Integrity Sealing and Testing is unrivalled. He has developed a reputation for plain speaking and is well respected by Clients and Consultants alike. Recently celebrating 20 years with Gerco, Mick is an integral member of the Gerco team.
Patrick Gavin – Contracts Manager
The most recent addition to the Gerco team, Pat is an experienced tradesman and Fire Officer. Commencing his career in the Mining Industry, he soon progressed into the passive fire protection sector. At a young age, he was an Operative on site, but his leadership credentials soon became evident which in turn saw his ascension to management positions. Pat has an approachable and friendly demeanour that endears him to all of his colleagues. Pat reports directly to Mick Robinson and is responsible for all domestic projects.
Allan Sharp – Contracts Manager (Specialist Projects)
Allan is an experienced fire stopper and heads an elite team charged with large-scale foreign projects. Currently flying the flag for Gerco-Fas in the Netherlands, Allan will soon be relocating his team to Switzerland for an extremely sensitive project. Widely known for his meticulous nature and determination to undertake the most challenging of tasks Allan is requested time and time again by contractors. Allan is an ever-appreciating asset to the business, and we’re delighted that he’s finding comfort in his management role.
William Nelson – Quantity Surveyor
A graduate of Edinburgh’s Napier University, Billy has been with the company since early 2016. The knowledge garnered from his early career with leading fit-out companies is tremendous for his years, and everyone at Gerco is excited that he brings such enthusiasm and precision to the workplace. Well-liked and easy to deal with is the regular feedback we receive. Billy is involved in all Gerco-Fas projects and is slowly building a commercial team of likeminded individuals around him.
Daniel Adam – Assistant Estimator
Daniel is the youngest member of the team, but he shows dedication and the desire to learn the Building Industry. In the early stages of his degree course in Quantity Surveying Daniel has demonstrated an aptitude for learning and is being exposed to all we have to offer. This investment will most definitely pay dividends in the forthcoming years.
Lindsay Hooley – Administrator
Lindsay brings a wealth of experience to the team. As a previous owner of several businesses, she has a depth of knowledge in administrative services that is tough to beat. Often in the shadows of our business activities, Lindsay plays a vital role in the processes and procedures that make us what we are.
Julianne Wakefield – Office Manager
With over ten years service in the company, Julianne knows everything there is to know. She plays an integral part by managing accounts, wages, Human Resources and employee liaison. The voice of Gerco on many fronts, Julianne keeps all staff members, contractors and clients alike on the straight and narrow. Julianne is the constant that holds our business steady.
